For a long time, the South Pacific Mail was Latin

America's oldest and most important English language

newspaper, and its owners became a veritable who's who

of the Anglo-Saxon world of the region, from the original

English through the Australians and finally, the

Americans, who had the sad task of finally burying it.

Por mucho tiempo, el South Pacific Mail fue el

semanario en inglés más antiguo e importante de

América Latina y sus dueños conforman una larga lista

del quien es quien del mundo anglosajón de la región,

desde los orginales ingleses, pasando por los

australianos y finalmente los estadounidenses, a quienes

les tocó la triste tarea de  enterrarlo finalmente.
