NEW YORK (JULY 8, 2008) - Brian Mitchell and his group played at

the Iridium Club in Manhattan. Brian Mitchell played the accordion

and all the keyboards and was the lead vocalist. Also present were

Matt Smith, guitar, mandolin and lap steel, Clark Gayten, trombone

and tuba, Timmy Tindall, bass, Fred Walcott, percussion, Shawn

Pelton, drumms and Elaine Caswell, vocals.

A native New Yorker, Mitchell is a mainstay in Manhattan's

competitive live music scene. His original music features a unique

blend of gutbucket blues, funky New Orleans style R&B, quirky Latin

rhythms and occasional visits into outer space. In addition to his

various incarnations of "The Brian Mitchell Band" and "The Loisaida

Social Club" he can also be heard with "House Of Diablo" (w/Shawn

Pelton), a unique blend of electronic sounds, dub, improv, and

swamp funk that can heard in dance clubs, exotic parties, as well as

soundtracks for TV and films.
